Cammie's Fight: Hi my name is Cammie and I’m 2 1/2 years old. What most people don’t know about me is that I have Cystic Fibrosis (CF). CF is a genetic disease that affects around 33,000 people just like me in the U.S. CF causes thick, sticky mucus to build up in my lungs and pancreas. This mucus causes me to have frequent lung infections and doesn’t allow me to digest my food. Every day I take around 15-20 pills to digest my food and I also need to do around 1 ½ hr of treatments to keep my lungs clear and free of germs. All of this is part of my life.
